Emofad - emotivity of adventure PRESS

“Emofad opens the spaces behind the banal and seemingly random events of everyday life. ”
Slovenske novice (daily), February 13th 2003

“Bogdanovski and his associates have mad a giant leap forward: they have created an audience for themselves. Considering the numbers and enthusiasm of the Wednesday premiere's audience, I can even go as far as to say that he has widened the commonly rather narrow circle of contemporary dance viewers.”
Tamara Langus - Radio Student, February 7th 2003

“In Emotivity of Adventure we face commendable, atractive dance, a series of fun ideas and virtuous accordance of movement and sound sequences in which the histrionic and gesticular rhythm of the team comes to light. At the same time we can see in Bogdanovski's pieces a rare sense of communication, attractiveness, frivolity and humor, with which contemporary dance breaks the barriers of aesthetical hermetism and the eletism of the audiences, thus becoming interesting to more viewers (of all ages).”
Rok Vevar, Delo (daily), February 11th 2003

“The progress from 1:0 and Sweat and Soot to Emofad lies in more competent and mature, more wholesome and movement-wise less illustrative and dramaturgically stronger work, placing Bogdanovski into the very peak of creators of the Slovene contemporary dance scene.”
Andrej Jaklic, Finance (daily), February 11th 2003

“When one watches the boisterous face-pulling, kung fu, sumo and free style fighting, swaggering and one-upmanship of the four males, listens to the incredibly befitting electronics of the Random Logic duo and the eye-catching effects, fed into their machinery by the sound-equipped costumes of the Emofad protagonists, designed by Marija M. Pungercar, and live sound imitation by the singer of the Boris Benko ensemble, one gets the feeling that Bogdanovski and his circle of boys have taken residence in a landscape of a comic strip book, or, to be more up-to-date, in a computer where virtual heroes combat. Regardless of the fact whether you like their style or not, the four dancers dance in shafts of excellent light design as is obsessed, taking time to render noticeable solos, seemingly having fun on stage, not to mention the audience.”

“A treat for the eyes and the ears.”
